  3. Transfer Preparation: Once the design is printed onto the transfer paper, it is trimmed to remove any excess paper around the edges of the design. The trimmed transfer is then placed onto the surface of the substrate, such as a garment or fabric, with the printed side facing down.
  4. Heat Press Application: The substrate and transfer assembly are then placed into a heat press machine. The machine applies heat and pressure to the assembly, causing the ink on the transfer paper to transfer onto the substrate. The temperature, pressure, and duration of the heat press cycle depend on the type of transfer paper, substrate, and ink being used.
  5. Cooling and Peeling: After the heat press cycle is complete, the substrate is allowed to cool before the transfer paper is carefully peeled away from the substrate. This reveals the printed design, which should now be bonded securely to the surface of the substrate.
